THE PAINTED DESERT ARIZONA

The Painted Desert is an area in Northern Arizona stretching from Grand Canyon to the Petrified Forest National Park.

The erosion by natural wind and rain has resulted in the special formations with the bands of grays, reds, oranges and yellows.

Much of the Painted Desert region is located within the Navajo Nation.

The wood you can see in the pano are actually petrified wood from the Triassic era (220 million years ago)
